About Our Fossils & Other Components

All of our jewelry is individually hand-crafted from excellent materials.  Our necklaces are strung on Berkeley Fireline Crystal™ 20-pound test.  This is a braided, heat-fused nylon line that provides excellent strength and durability (it can actually be used for salt water fishing).  Unlike the rigid metal-based lines that many jewelry makers use, the Berkeley feels like cotton and offers a gorgeous, natural drape, without sacrificing strength.

We offer necklaces in 15, 16, 18, and 20-inch lengths.  We also have some adjustable length necklaces, strung on quality 2mm leather cord.

Our bracelets are strung on Stretch Magic™ elastic.  It is strong and durable, and it has excellent memory (it doesn’t stretch out or lose its shape).

Our bracelet sizes range from 6.5 to 8 inches.  Our elastic bracelets are designed to fit close to the wrist so that they don’t get in your way during everyday tasks.  Many women find that our 8-inch bracelets fit them well as anklets.  If you’re not sure about size, just measure your wrist/ankle before ordering.

All of our clasps are .925 sterling silver.  Everything on our jewelry that looks silver (beads, clasps, pendant settings, bails, etc.) is .925 sterling silver.

FossilsAmmonite is a cephalopod, about 500-200 million years old.  Trilobite is an arthropod, about 400-200 million years old.  Orthoceras is a cephalopod, about 400-200 million years old.  All of our fossil pendants are jewelry grade.

Shiva Lingam River Stones:  These are from the banks of the Narmadia River in the Mandhaca Mountains in India.  The colors and shape of the stones are thought to represent a balance of yin and yang, of logic and wisdom, and/or of "masculine" and "feminine" energies.  They have the highest vibrational frequency of any known stone.

Tibetan Prayer/Wish Boxes:  These are .925 sterling silver, hand-carved by Tibetan artisans.  The cap of the box is removable.  The wearer writes his/her prayer or wish on a slip of paper and places it inside the pendant.  The idea is that wearing the pendant keeps one mindful of her/his prayer or wish.
